Viêm da dị ứng (AD) là một bệnh da liễu viêm, thể hiện sự rối loạn chức năng hàng rào da, tổn thương giống chàm, ngứa ngáy dữ dội và những phản ứng miễn dịch bất thường. Mục tiêu của nghiên cứu này là xác định xem sự kết hợp thảo dược từ Lithospermum erythrorhizon (LE), Houttuynia cordata (HC) và Spirodela polyrhiza (SP) có tác dụng chống AD vượt trội hơn không. Bốn mươi hai hợp chất đã được xác định trong LE, HC, SP, và chiết xuất thảo dược kết hợp từ LE, HC và SP (LHS) thông qua kỹ thuật sắc ký lỏng áp suất siêu cao (UHPLC)-khối phổ Orbitrap (MS). Nồng độ của các glycosid flavonoid bao gồm orientin (luteolin-8-C-glucoside), quercetin-3-O-rhamnoside, và luteolin-7-O-glucoside trong LHS đã tăng lên so với các chiết xuất riêng lẻ. Hơn nữa, việc điều trị bằng LHS đã ức chế hiệu quả nhất sự gia tăng độ dày biểu bì, số lượng tế bào mast và sự giải phóng immunoglobulin E so với từng chiết xuất. Những kết quả này cho thấy rằng tác động chống AD tiềm năng của LHS là do những thay đổi của các hợp chất sinh học nhờ sự kết hợp các thảo dược.
