Formaldehyde, một hóa chất được sử dụng rộng rãi, được coi là một chất gây ung thư ở người. Chúng tôi báo cáo kết quả của các phân tích tổng hợp về mối quan hệ giữa sự tiếp xúc nghề nghiệp với formaldehyde và nguy cơ mắc bệnh lympho không Hodgkin (NHL).
Chúng tôi thực hiện một cuộc tổng hợp hệ thống và phân tích tổng hợp theo các hướng dẫn quốc tế và đã xác định được 12 báo cáo về các quần thể nghề nghiệp tiếp xúc với formaldehyde. Chúng tôi đánh giá sự không đồng nhất giữa các nghiên cứu và áp dụng mô hình ngẫu nhiên. Chúng tôi thực hiện một phân tích tổng hợp tích lũy và một phân tích tổng hợp theo mức tiếp xúc trung bình ước lượng của mỗi quần thể nghiên cứu.
Phân tích tổng hợp thu được một chỉ số nguy cơ tương đối (RR) cho NHL là 0.93 (khoảng tin cậy 95% là 0.83–1.04). Phân tích tổng hợp tích lũy gợi ý rằng các RR cao hơn được phát hiện trong các nghiên cứu được công bố trước năm 1986, trong khi các nghiên cứu được thực hiện sau năm 1986 không cho thấy sự liên quan. Không có sự khác biệt nào được tìm thấy giữa các mức độ tiếp xúc nghề nghiệp khác nhau.
Kết luận Bất chấp một số hạn chế, các kết quả của phân tích tổng hợp này không hỗ trợ giả thuyết về mối liên hệ giữa tiếp xúc nghề nghiệp với formaldehyde và nguy cơ mắc NHL.
