Bệnh gan nhiễm mỡ không do rượu được đánh dấu bởi sự tích lũy mỡ trong gan không do sử dụng rượu quá mức. Nhiều nghiên cứu đã chứng minh rằng NAFLD có liên hệ với kháng insulin, dẫn đến sự kháng cự đối với tác dụng chống phân giải lipid của insulin trong mô mỡ với sự gia tăng axit béo tự do (FFAs). Sự gia tăng FFAs gây ra rối loạn chức năng ty thể và phát triển độc tố lipid. Hơn nữa, ở các đối tượng mắc NAFLD, mỡ lạc chỗ cũng tích lũy dưới dạng mỡ tim và mỡ tuyến tụy. Trong bài đánh giá này, chúng tôi đã phân tích các cơ chế liên kết NAFLD với hội chứng chuyển hóa và rối loạn lipid máu và mối liên hệ của nó với sự phát triển và tiến triển của bệnh tim mạch.
