Ung thư đường mật (BTC) là một nhóm các khối u ác tính đa dạng phát sinh từ cây đường mật, bao gồm ung thư đường mật và ung thư túi mật. Bệnh nhân được chỉ định phẫu thuật cắt bỏ nên thực hiện cắt hạch bạch huyết. Do tỷ lệ tái phát cao sau phẫu thuật cắt bỏ, bệnh nhân cần được xem xét điều trị bổ trợ trong một môi trường đa ngành. Việc dữ liệu từ các thử nghiệm lâm sàng ngẫu nhiên có sẵn là hạn chế, làm cho lựa chọn điều trị tối ưu trở nên không rõ ràng; Tuy nhiên, hóa trị liệu hoặc hóa xạ trị đã được chứng minh là có lợi, đặc biệt là ở những bệnh nhân có phẫu thuật R1 hoặc R2 hoặc có liên quan đến hạch bạch huyết. Bệnh nhân mắc bệnh không thể cắt bỏ nên được xem xét điều trị tiền phẫu với hóa trị liệu hoặc hóa xạ trị. Những bệnh nhân không thể dung nạp hóa trị liệu cũng nên được xem xét các liệu pháp tại chỗ. Việc tham gia vào các thử nghiệm lâm sàng được khuyến nghị mạnh mẽ cho tất cả bệnh nhân. Các thử nghiệm liên quan đến liệu pháp nhắm đích hoặc miễn dịch hiện đang được tiến hành trên bệnh nhân có bệnh tiến triển.
