Mục đích của nghiên cứu này là a) kiểm tra kết quả sẵn sàng cho trường học (SR) ở trẻ mẫu giáo có các vấn đề hành vi bên ngoài (EBPs) và rối loạn ngôn ngữ (LI) sau khi nhận được can thiệp SR đa ngành chuyên sâu, và b) xem xét những thay đổi trong ngôn ngữ như các yếu tố dự đoán sự cải thiện trong kết quả điều trị SR thông qua thiết kế thử nghiệm mở. Trẻ mẫu giáo (n = 91) với mức độ EBPs cao và LI phối hợp (Mage=4.77, SD= .56, 76% nam, 82% gốc Tây Ban Nha/Latino) đã tham gia vào Chương trình Điều trị Mùa hè kéo dài 8 tuần cho trẻ trước khi vào lớp mẫu giáo và nhận trị liệu ngôn ngữ trong 30 phút/4 ngày mỗi tuần. Các kết quả SR bao gồm các thước đo ngôn ngữ, hành vi, học thuật, xã hội và tự điều chỉnh. Các bài kiểm tra T trên mẫu đôi cho thấy sự cải thiện đáng kể qua các kết quả SR.
