Chẩn đoán bệnh Still khởi phát ở người lớn là khó khăn khi thiếu các tiêu chí lâm sàng và xét nghiệm rõ ràng. Chúng tôi đã chẩn đoán muộn bệnh Still khởi phát ở người lớn cho một nữ bệnh nhân 23 tuổi, người đã phát triển tình trạng suy đa tạng và đông máu nội mạch lan tỏa kèm theo hiện tượng tự cắt cụt đầu ngón tay trong một đợt sốt được coi là nhiễm trùng do nồng độ procalcitonin huyết thanh tăng cao kéo dài.
