Thái độ của sinh viên y khoa đối với video game và các công nghệ truyền thông mới liên quan trong giáo dục y tế

Các nghiên cứu trong K-12 và sinh viên đại học cho thấy rằng sở thích học tập của họ đã bị ảnh hưởng mạnh mẽ bởi các công nghệ truyền thông mới như video game, môi trường thực tế ảo, Internet và mạng xã hội. Tuy nhiên, hiện nay chưa có nghiên cứu nào được biết đến về trải nghiệm trò chơi hay thái độ của sinh viên y khoa đối với các công nghệ truyền thông mới trong giáo dục y tế. Cuộc điều tra này nhằm làm sáng tỏ trải nghiệm và thái độ của sinh viên y khoa, để xem xét xem liệu chúng có đủ điều kiện để phát triển các phương pháp giảng dạy bằng truyền thông mới trong y học hay không.
Các sinh viên y khoa từ hai trường đại học của Mỹ đã tham gia. Một khảo sát chéo 30 câu hỏi ẩn danh đã đề cập đến nhân khẩu học, kinh nghiệm chơi game và thái độ về việc sử dụng các công nghệ truyền thông mới trong giáo dục y tế. Phân tích thống kê đã xác định: 1) các đặc điểm nhân khẩu học; 2) sự khác biệt giữa hai trường đại học; 3) cách mà việc chơi video game khác nhau giữa các giới tính, độ tuổi, chương trình học và sự quen thuộc với máy tính; và 4) đặc điểm của sinh viên chơi nhiều nhất.
