Coping tập trung cảm xúc không thích ứng và lo âu ở trẻ em: Vai trò điều chỉnh của việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực

Nghiên cứu theo chiều dọc kéo dài một năm này đã xem xét vai trò bảo vệ tiềm tàng của việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực trong mối quan hệ giữa coping tập trung cảm xúc không thích ứng và lo âu ở trẻ em. Các đối tượng tham gia là 128 trẻ em trước tuổi dậy thì (41,4% nữ) trong độ tuổi từ 10 đến 14 tuổi (M = 12,15, SD = 1,30) tại Hồng Kông. Kết quả của mô hình phương trình cấu trúc điều chỉnh tiềm ẩn cho thấy việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực của cha ở thời điểm T1 đã điều chỉnh đáng kể mối liên hệ giữa coping tập trung cảm xúc không thích ứng ở thời điểm T1 và lo âu ở thời điểm T2, trong khi kiểm soát cho lo âu ở thời điểm T1, theo đó mối liên hệ yếu hơn khi việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực của cha ở thời điểm T1 cao hơn. Coping tập trung cảm xúc không thích ứng ở thời điểm T1 có liên quan dương với lo âu ở thời điểm T2 khi việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực của cha ở thời điểm T1 thấp. Mối quan hệ này không có ý nghĩa khi việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực của cha ở thời điểm T1 ở mức độ trung bình hoặc cao. Đáng ngạc nhiên, vai trò điều chỉnh của việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực của mẹ ở thời điểm T1 không có ý nghĩa. Những phát hiện này gợi ý rằng việc nuôi dạy con cái có quyền lực của cha có thể hoạt động như một yếu tố bảo vệ giúp cải thiện tác động bất lợi của coping tập trung cảm xúc không thích ứng đối với lo âu ở trẻ em.
