Giáo dục nghề nghiệp và đào tạo (VET) tại Thụy Sĩ được xác định là một hệ thống đào tạo kép, trong đó các học viên hàng tuần luân phiên giữa trường nghề và nơi làm việc thực tế. Tại nơi làm việc, họ cần duy trì một tài liệu học tập trong suốt quá trình đào tạo, trong đó họ được yêu cầu thường xuyên ghi chép sự phát triển chuyên môn của mình. Tuy nhiên, việc sử dụng thực tế tài liệu này vẫn còn hạn chế, và tiềm năng của nó đối với việc học rõ ràng chưa được khai thác tối đa. Nghiên cứu được trình bày trong bài báo này làm rõ các thực tiễn hiện tại và các vấn đề liên quan đến việc sử dụng tài liệu học tập trong hệ thống VET Thụy Sĩ. Các cuộc phỏng vấn bán cấu trúc (N = 29) đã được thực hiện với đại diện của tất cả các tác nhân chính trong hệ thống VET Thụy Sĩ cho nhiều lĩnh vực nghề nghiệp khác nhau (Công nghiệp & Thủ công, Thương mại, và Chăm sóc Sức khỏe & Xã hội). Nghiên cứu cho thấy rằng mặc dù tất cả họ đều có xu hướng nhận thấy tiềm năng của tài liệu học tập, các tác nhân khác nhau trong VET không chia sẻ cùng một quan niệm về các mục đích và chức năng, cả trong và giữa các nghề nghiệp. Dựa trên các câu trả lời của họ, các cải tiến có thể cho công cụ này đã được thảo luận và các gợi ý được đưa ra để nâng cao việc sử dụng nó như một đối tượng ranh giới trong suốt quá trình đào tạo.
