Bài báo này cung cấp cái nhìn tổng quan về các vấn đề chính trong nghiên cứu lòng tin, xác định những nền tảng chung và nhiều chòm sao khác nhau của lòng tin trong tổ chức. Trong quá trình này, bài báo cũng đề cập đến những hệ quả quan trọng của việc phát triển lý thuyết và nghiên cứu thực nghiệm. Thứ nhất, nó cung cấp một bức tranh lịch sử về các cách tiếp cận khác nhau để hiểu hiện tượng lòng tin, dựa trên nhiều ngành khoa học xã hội khác nhau.
