Sở thích ngầm và hiệu suất ngôn ngữ: sử dụng bài kiểm tra liên kết ngầm bằng giấy và bút chì để dự đoán sự tham gia và hiệu suất tiếng Anh

Nghiên cứu hiện tại đã xem xét tính hợp lệ của Bài kiểm tra Liên kết Ngầm (IAT) bằng giấy và bút chì, cũng như việc sở thích ngầm đối với tiếng Anh, được đánh giá thông qua IAT bằng giấy và bút chì, có thể dự đoán sự tham gia, điều này chỉ ra mức độ tham gia và hiệu suất trong tiếng Anh. Những người tham gia bao gồm sinh viên đại học (N = 322) đã trả lời IAT bằng giấy và bút chì và bảng câu hỏi tự báo cáo đánh giá sở thích rõ ràng, cụ thể là mức độ mà họ cảm nhận rằng họ thích học tiếng Anh. Kết quả cho thấy có sự tương quan nhỏ nhưng có ý nghĩa giữa sở thích ngầm và rõ ràng. Những người tham gia nữ thể hiện sở thích ngầm tích cực hơn đối với tiếng Anh so với những người tham gia nam. Ngoài ra, sinh viên chuyên ngành ngôn ngữ nước ngoài cho thấy sở thích ngầm tích cực hơn đối với tiếng Anh so với sinh viên không chuyên ngôn ngữ nước ngoài. Những kết quả này chứng minh tính hợp lệ của IAT bằng giấy và bút chì. Chúng cũng cho thấy rằng sở thích ngầm ảnh hưởng đến hiệu suất kiểm tra tiếng Anh thực tế và mối quan hệ này được trung gian bởi sự tham gia.
