Tóm tắtHydrometrocolpos là một rối loạn bẩm sinh hiếm gặp, có thể xuất hiện trước khi sinh hoặc sau khi sinh. Nó có thể diễn ra một cách độc lập hoặc đi kèm với các bất thường khác. Các bất thường liên quan đến hydrometrocolpos có thể là nguyên phát hoặc thứ phát. Các bất thường nguyên phát phát sinh từ sự gián đoạn trong quá trình phát triển phôi thai, trong khi các bất thường thứ phát phát sinh từ tác động áp lực của ống âm đạo và tử cung giãn nở lên các cơ quan lân cận. Phân tích kết quả khám nghiệm tự thi của bốn trường hợp hydrometrocolpos tại trung tâm của chúng tôi đã chỉ ra sự liên kết không ngẫu nhiên của một số dị tật bẩm sinh nhất định. Các bất thường này liên quan đến các cấu trúc phát sinh từ trung bì nội thai nhi dưới rốn. Sự thất bại trong phát triển nguyên phát hoặc sự gián đoạn thứ phát của các mô bình thường dẫn đến tình trạng này được gọi là chuỗi khiếm khuyết trung mô dưới. Việc nhận diện tình trạng này là quan trọng trong việc dự đoán tiến triển bệnh và tư vấn cho cha mẹ.
