Bài báo khám phá này xác định các không khí làm việc đạo đức trong các tổ chức ở Ấn Độ dựa trên kiểu mẫu không khí đạo đức được phát triển bởi Victor và Cullen. Ấn Độ mang đến những cơ hội thú vị để nghiên cứu ra quyết định đạo đức trong các tổ chức, xem xét đến sự tăng trưởng kinh tế gần đây, di sản tinh thần phong phú, và việc thực hiện quy định pháp lý còn tương đối yếu. Sử dụng bảng hỏi không khí đạo đức gốc, chúng tôi tiến hành khảo sát lực lượng lao động Ấn Độ để xác định các không khí đạo đức chính mà người tham gia liên hệ tới. Phân tích yếu tố khám phá cho thấy sáu kiểu không khí: (a) Luật pháp và Quy tắc Nghề nghiệp, (b) Quy trình Tổ chức, (c) Đạo đức và Công bằng, (d) Thịnh vượng Tập thể, (e) Hệ thống Giá trị Cá nhân, và (f) Theo đuổi Sự Xuất sắc. Do đó, chúng tôi đánh giá cách thức các đặc điểm tổ chức và cá nhân ảnh hưởng đến mối liên hệ của người tham gia với các kiểu không khí đã được xác định. Phân tích phương sai đa biến cho thấy rằng nam giới trong lực lượng lao động Ấn Độ có xu hướng liên hệ nhiều hơn với luật pháp, quy tắc nghề nghiệp và quy trình tổ chức, trong khi nữ giới có khả năng liên hệ nhiều hơn với hệ thống giá trị cá nhân. Chúng tôi thảo luận về những hệ quả và yếu tố tiên quyết của những phát hiện này từ góc nhìn văn hóa-xã hội, cụ thể là những giá trị cổ xưa của Ấn Độ.
