Làm rõ các mối liên hệ giữa mục tiêu học tập và hành vi gian lận trong học thuật: một phân tích tổng hợp

Hành vi gian lận trong học thuật là một vấn đề phổ biến, ảnh hưởng đến hiệu quả của các tổ chức giáo dục. Từ góc độ động lực học, các nhà nghiên cứu đã đưa ra các mục tiêu thành tích như là các yếu tố trước của hành vi gian lận trong học thuật. Các phát hiện thực nghiệm củng cố quan điểm rằng mục tiêu thành thạo (tập trung vào việc học và phát triển năng lực) có liên quan tiêu cực đến hành vi gian lận học thuật. Tuy nhiên, mặc dù các cân nhắc lý thuyết gợi ý về mối liên hệ tích cực giữa mục tiêu thành tích (tập trung vào thể hiện năng lực) và hành vi gian lận học thuật, các phát hiện thực nghiệm lại không đồng nhất. Để cung cấp hiểu biết tốt hơn về vai trò của các mục tiêu đối với hành vi gian lận học thuật, chúng tôi đã tiến hành các phân tích tổng hợp ba cấp độ với 163 kích thước hiệu ứng từ 33 nghiên cứu và tổng cộng 19,787 người tham gia. Chúng tôi phát hiện ra việc sử dụng không cân xứng các thiết kế tương quan (sử dụng các phương pháp tự báo cáo gian lận học thuật) và các biện pháp mục tiêu cá nhân (so với các cấu trúc mục tiêu xung quanh). Không có bằng chứng về thiên lệch xuất bản được phát hiện. Kết quả của chúng tôi xác nhận các liên kết tiêu cực như mong đợi giữa mục tiêu thành thạo và hành vi gian lận học thuật và tiết lộ các phát hiện không đồng nhất đối với mục tiêu thành tích, với các chỉ số về các mối liên hệ tích cực trong các biện pháp gian lận hành vi và dự định, nhưng không trong các báo cáo tự báo cáo. Để làm rõ hơn các mối liên hệ giữa mục tiêu học tập và hành vi gian lận học thuật, chúng tôi kêu gọi sự nghiêm ngặt hơn trong phương pháp đo lường các mục tiêu và hành vi gian lận cũng như các phương pháp đa phương pháp khi nghiên cứu sự tương tác của chúng.
