The intermetallic phase Ca0,95Li1,05Sn has been prepared and its crystal structure determined. It crystallizes trigonal, a = 4.94 ± 0.01, c = 10.90 ± 0.02 Å, c/a = 2.21, space group P3ml-C3v1 in a new stacking variant of the CaIn2-type.
