Băng dán đàn hồi áp dụng lên cơ ba đầu bắp chân (triceps surae) đã được sử dụng phổ biến để cải thiện hiệu suất của các chi dưới. Tuy nhiên, có rất ít chứng cứ khách quan được ghi nhận. Mục đích của nghiên cứu này là khảo sát tác động của băng dán đàn hồi lên cơ ba đầu bắp chân trong lúc thực hiện nhảy dọc tối đa. Giả thuyết đặt ra là việc băng dán đàn hồi lên cơ ba đầu bắp chân sẽ làm tăng hoạt động cơ bắp và có ảnh hưởng tích cực đến độ cao nhảy.
