Thành phần acid béo (FA) của lipid tổng, phospholipid (PL) và triacylglycerol (TAG) đã được xác định trong mô cơ của Silurus triostegus. Sự phân bố của các tỷ lệ acid béo bão hòa (SFA), acid béo không bão hòa đơn (MUFA) và acid béo không bão hòa đa (PUFA) được tìm thấy là khác nhau giữa lipid tổng, PL và TAG từ mô cơ của cá đực và cái S. triostegus trong mọi mùa. Triacylglycerol chứa tỷ lệ PUFA thấp hơn và tỷ lệ MUFA và SFA cao hơn so với PL, trong khi PL chứa tỷ lệ PUFA cao hơn tỷ lệ MUFA và SFA so với TAG. Thành phần acid béo của triacylglycerol và PL trong mô cơ của hai loài cá đực và cái được tìm thấy là khác nhau.
