Hệ thống ERP và mã nguồn mở: một đánh giá ban đầu và một số đề xuất cho SMEs

Mục đích của bài báo này là nhằm mở rộng thêm kiến thức về lý do các doanh nghiệp nhỏ và vừa (SMEs) áp dụng các hệ thống lập kế hoạch nguồn lực doanh nghiệp (ERP) mã nguồn mở.
Bài báo trình bày và phân tích các phát hiện trong các bài viết về ERP độc quyền và ERP mã nguồn mở. Ngoài ra, một cuộc điều tra hạn chế về kênh phân phối SourceForge cho mã nguồn mở cũng được thực hiện.
Quan điểm về chi phí có vẻ nhận được sự chú ý cao liên quan đến việc áp dụng ERP mã nguồn mở. Điều này có thể được đặt vào câu hỏi và kết luận chính là chi phí dường như có vai trò thứ yếu trong việc áp dụng hoặc không áp dụng ERP mã nguồn mở.
Bài báo chủ yếu là một bài nghiên cứu khái niệm được viết từ một tài liệu tổng quan. Mục tiêu là tìm kiếm sự hỗ trợ cho các phát hiện bằng cách thực hiện nhiều nghiên cứu hơn trong lĩnh vực này.
Các phát hiện được trình bày sẽ có giá trị cho cả các nhà phát triển ERP độc quyền cũng như SMEs vì nó chỉ ra rằng chắc chắn có những lý do khác ngoài chi phí khi quyết định giữa ERP độc quyền và ERP mã nguồn mở.
Có thể lập luận rằng còn thiếu nghiên cứu được thực hiện và công bố về lý do SMEs chọn ERP mã nguồn mở thay vì ERP độc quyền. Bài báo này xác định khoảng trống và gợi ý hướng nghiên cứu tương lai về chủ đề này.
