Tóm tắt Sự làm rỗng dạ dày của các bữa ăn thử nghiệm glucose 5% và 10% đã được đo trong 43 bệnh nhân bị loét tá tràng trước phẫu thuật và trong 52 bệnh nhân có kết quả không đạt sau phẫu thuật cắt dây thần kinh phế vị đại tràng và thủ thuật dẫn lưu. Mười bảy bệnh nhân có loét tái phát và cắt dây thần kinh không hoàn toàn, trong khi 35 bệnh nhân có triệu chứng với cắt dây thần kinh hoàn toàn. Trong cả bệnh nhân trước phẫu thuật và sau phẫu thuật, bữa ăn thử nghiệm glucose 10% rỗng đi chậm hơn một cách có ý nghĩa so với bữa ăn thử nghiệm glucose 5% bất kể tính hoàn chỉnh của cắt dây thần kinh phế vị. Do đó, kiểm soát thẩm thấu của sự làm rỗng dạ dày vẫn tồn tại sau phẫu thuật cắt dây thần kinh phế vị.
