Die neue DEGAM-Leitlinie Nr. 7 „Ohrenschmerzen“

Die wesentlichen Inhalte und Empfehlungen der DEGAM-Leitlinie „Ohrenschmerzen“ werden kurz vorgestellt. In der Leitlinie werden mögliche Ursachen von Ohrenschmerzen sowie deren Behandlung in einer zusammenfassenden Empfehlung dargelegt. Der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt der Leitlinie — die akute Otitis media — sowie die Empfehlungen zur Verminderung der Antibiotikaverordnung werden zusammen mit der wissenschaftlichen Begründung etwas ausführlicher dargestellt, während für weitere Ursachen von Ohrenschmerzen auf die gedruckte Langfassung verwiesen wird. Wie bei allen DEGAM-Leitlinien besteht auch hier der Anspruch — soweit möglich —, evidenzbasiert zu argumentieren, die Perspektive der allgemeinmedizinisch Tätigen einzunehmen und entsprechende Empfehlungen für die Praxis zu geben. Mit der vorgestellten Leitlinie beginnt die DEGAM eine Serie von Leitlinien zu Atemwegsinfekten (Rhinosinusitis, Husten und Halsschmerzen werden folgen), deren Ziel es insgesamt ist, einen überlegten Umgang mit der antibiotischen Therapie zu empfehlen, wobei die Verschreibungsrate in der Praxis zwar gesenkt werden soll, ein im konkreten Fall bestehender Nutzen aber berücksichtigt wird.
