Buồn ngủ ban ngày và tăng động ở trẻ em nghi ngờ mắc rối loạn hô hấp liên quan đến giấc ngủ

Phương pháp. Nghiên cứu cắt ngang được tiến hành tại một bệnh viện liên kết trường đại học và một phòng khám nhi đồng cộng đồng. Tổng cộng có 108 bệnh nhân với S-SDB (tuổi trung bình [độ lệch chuẩn]: 7 ± 4 năm) và 72 đối tượng đối chứng (8 ± 4 năm) được tuyển chọn. Phiên bản sửa đổi của Thang đo Buồn ngủ Epworth (ESS) và Bảng Câu hỏi Rút gọn triệu chứng Conners được sử dụng. Đa ký giấc ngủ được thực hiện ở các bệnh nhân S-SDB.
Kết quả. Bệnh nhân với S-SDB có điểm ESS cao hơn (8,1 ± 4,9 so với 5,3 ± 3,9) và điểm Conners cao hơn (12,8 ± 7,6 so với 9,0 ± 6,2) so với đối tượng đối chứng. Dựa vào tiêu chí dành cho người lớn, 28% bệnh nhân có biểu hiện buồn ngủ ban ngày quá mức. Không có sự khác biệt nào trong điểm số ESS và Conners của bệnh nhân ngáy nguyên phát và bệnh nhân ngưng thở khi ngủ tắc nghẽn. ESS có mối tương quan yếu với các thông số đa ký giấc ngủ.
Kết luận. Mặc dù điểm ESS của trẻ em với S-SDB nằm trong phạm vi bình thường đối với người lớn, những trẻ này vẫn buồn ngủ và tăng động hơn so với đối tượng đối chứng. Tuy nhiên, dữ liệu này nên được xác nhận bởi một nghiên cứu dựa trên dân số.
