Bài báo này xem xét sự phát triển kết cấu tinh thể trong thép carbon thấp 1008. Sự phát triển kết cấu dọc theo các trạng thái ứng suất đơn trục, ứng suất phẳng và ứng suất đối xứng bội đã được đo. Đối với thử nghiệm đơn trục, các hạt có xu hướng xoay sao cho các hướng trượt { 111 } 1 1 ̄ 0 được căn chỉnh với trục tải. Đối với các trạng thái ứng suất phẳng và ứng suất đối xứng bội, phần lớn các hạt phân bố với mặt {111} song song với phương pháp mẫu. Các dự đoán đi kèm về sự phát triển kết cấu bằng mô hình visco-pastic tự nhất quán (VPSC) được thực hiện dọc theo cùng một đường ứng suất và gia tăng ứng suất. Việc so sánh giữa sự phát triển kết cấu đo được và sự phát triển kết cấu tính toán cho thấy mô hình VPSC dự đoán về mặt chất lượng sự phát triển kết cấu đã đo, nhưng tốc độ xảy ra sự phát triển kết cấu lại bị dự đoán cao hơn.
