Tóm tắt

Bệnh liệt cơ Duchenne là một tình trạng thần kinh cơ tiến triển với tỷ lệ cao các khuyết tật về nhận thức và học tập cũng như các rối loạn hành vi thần kinh, một số trong đó đã được liên kết với sự gián đoạn của các isoform dystrophin. Nghiên cứu hồi cứu trên 59 cậu bé đã điều tra hồ sơ nhận thức và hành vi thần kinh của các cậu bé mắc bệnh liệt cơ Duchenne. Chỉ số IQ tổng thể dưới 70 được ghi nhận ở 27%; khuyết tật học tập ở 44%; khuyết tật trí tuệ ở 19%; rối loạn thiếu hụt sự chú ý/hiếu động ở 32%; rối loạn phổ tự kỷ ở 15%; và lo âu ở 27%.
