Các cá nhân có Rối loạn phổ tự kỷ (ASC) được cho là thể hiện khả năng phân biệt cảm giác tốt hơn, nhưng những phát hiện không đồng nhất đã được báo cáo về phân biệt tần số giọng nói. Các phát hiện hiện tại có ý nghĩa trong việc điều tra sự khác biệt cá nhân trong ASC và cần có thêm nghiên cứu để làm rõ mối quan hệ giữa các khía cạnh không xã hội và xã hội của ASC.
