Mối Quan Hệ Giữa Thông Tin Sức Khỏe Răng Miệng và Lịch Sử Thăm Khám Nha Khoa trong Một Dân Số Học Viện Cấp Cứu Nội Thành

Để khám phá mối liên hệ giữa thông tin sức khỏe răng miệng (OHL) và các biến số xã hội - nhân khẩu học, cũng như thăm khám nha khoa ở người lớn đến khám tại một phòng cấp cứu (ED) đô thị. Phương pháp: Đây là một nghiên cứu cắt ngang sử dụng mẫu thuận tiện gồm 556 người lớn từ 18-90 tuổi. Dữ liệu phỏng vấn từ nghiên cứu được dùng để thu thập các đặc điểm nhân khẩu học tự báo cáo và lịch sử thăm khám nha khoa. OHL của các tham gia nghiên cứu được đo bằng thang đo Thông Tin Sức Khỏe Trong Nha Khoa (HeLD-14), và điểm số được phân loại thành OHL thấp và cao. Các mối liên hệ hai biến giữa các biến số xã hội - nhân khẩu học và OHL đã được thực hiện bằng kiểm định chi bình phương, và hồi quy logistic được sử dụng để kiểm tra mối liên hệ giữa OHL và thăm khám nha khoa trong năm qua. Kết quả: Sáu mươi phần trăm người tham gia báo cáo đã thăm khám nha sĩ trong năm qua. Hơn hai phần ba mẫu được phân loại là có OHL thấp. OHL thấp phổ biến hơn ở các chủng tộc không phải người da trắng, có trình độ học vấn thấp, độc thân, thất nghiệp, và thu nhập thấp, và những người không có bác sĩ chăm sóc chính hoặc bảo hiểm nha khoa (p < 0.05). Những bệnh nhân có thông tin sức khỏe răng miệng thấp có khả năng 39% ít hơn trong việc thăm khám nha sĩ trong năm qua (OR = 0.61; 95% CI 0.38, 0.96). Kết luận: Nghiên cứu này làm nổi bật sự chênh lệch đáng kể về OHL. Các can thiệp nhắm đến nhu cầu độc đáo của các nhóm dân cư thiệt thòi nên được phát triển để cải thiện kết quả sức khỏe.
