Sự phát triển của vết nứt dẻo được khảo sát bằng cách sử dụng một mô hình hư hỏng đơn giản, trong đó vùng hư hỏng được định vị tại phía trước đầu vết nứt. Mô hình hư hỏng liên tục được áp dụng vào mô hình vùng kết dính loại Dugdale-Barenblatt. Vấn đề phát triển vết nứt đàn hồi-plastic được giải quyết bằng phương pháp Phần tử Hữu hạn. Kết quả số học cho thấy sự phù hợp tốt với dữ liệu thí nghiệm và dữ liệu số có sẵn trong tài liệu. Để ngăn chặn sự xuất hiện của một vùng quá trình có bề rộng biến mất, các kết quả độc lập về lưới đã được thu được cho cả vết nứt tĩnh và vết nứt đang phát triển.
