Tóm tắt

AbstractAn efficient procedure for the chemical conversion of benzylpenicillin to 6‐aminopenicillanic acid is described. The selective cleavage of the amide bond has been accomplished by treating the silyl ester of benzylpenicillin consecutively with phosphorus pentachloride, n‐butanol and water at low temperatures.
