Kinetics of gas‐liquid reactions part I. General theory
Tập 67 Số 7 - Trang 563-586 - 1948
D.W. Van Krevelen, P. J. Hoftijzer
AbstractWhen a gaseous component is absorbed by a liquid under simultaneous reaction with a component of the liquid, the overall rate of reaction proves to be a dimensionless function of four limiting rates: the maximum rate of diffusion of the gaseous component through the liquid film the maximum rate of diffusion of the liquid‐component through the liquid film the limiting rate of reaction withi... hiện toàn bộ
Reactions of cyclopalladated compounds and alkynes: New pathways for organic synthesis?
Tập 109 Số 12 - Trang 567-576 - 1990
Michel Pfeffer
AbstractCyclometallated compounds, obtained by direct intramolecular C–H activation of a ligand by transition metals, are fairly reactive [especially those derived from palladium(II)] towards insertion of internal alkynes into their metal‐carbon bond. This reaction leads to either new organometallic compounds by inclusion of one to three alkynes into the M‐C bond, or organic compounds which are ei... hiện toàn bộ

Reduction potentials of various aromatic hydrocarbons and their univalent anions
Tập 75 Số 5 - Trang 487-503 - 1956
G. J. Hoijtink, E. de Boer, P. H. van der Meij, W. P. Weijland
AbstractPotentiometric titrations of solutions of various aromatic hydrocarbons in 1,2‐dimethoxyethane and tetrahydrofuran with a solution of biphenylsodium have shown chemical reduction to proceed in two stages: equation image The reduction potentials of the aromatic hydrocarbons, calculated from the potentiometric curve, are in good agreement with the half‐wave potentials obtained from polarogra... hiện toàn bộ
Gas hydrates of nitrogen and oxygen
Tập 79 Số 6 - Trang 582-586 - 1960
A. van Cleeff, G. A. M. Diepen
AbstractGas hydrates of nitrogen and oxygen are described.P ‐ t relations of the three‐phase equilibria in the system nitrogen ‐ water are given from ‐ 4 to 18°C at pressures up to 1000atm. The dissociation pressure of oxygen hydrate is given at 0°C.
Specificity in the enzymic conversion of polyunsaturated fatty acids into prostaglandins
Tập 85 Số 12 - Trang 1233-1250 - 1966
C.B. Struijk, R. K. Beerthuis, H. J. J. Pabon, D. A. van Dorp
AbstractThe enzyme specificity in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins has been investigated by incubation of a particulate fraction of sheep vesicular glands with ω6 tri‐ and tetraenoic C18 ‐ C22 fatty acids and isomers of ω6 eicosatrienoic acid (20: 3 ω6). The chemical synthesis of the various substrate fatty acids is described. The tetraenoic fatty acids were converted into a series of prostaglan... hiện toàn bộ
The constitution of Tamarindus‐amyloid
Tập 80 Số 8 - Trang 849-865 - 1961
P. Kooiman
AbstractThe preparation of Tamarindus‐amyloid from seeds of Tamarindus indica L. is described in detail. The product was homogeneous under conditions of free boundary electrophoresis and of sedimentation in the ultracentrifuge. A tentative value for a molecular weight of 115,000 was found.Partial hydrolysis of the polysaccharide with Myrotheciwn‐cellulase liberated a hepta‐, an octa‐ and a nona‐sac... hiện toàn bộ

Thermal quantities of some cycloparaffins. Part III. results of measurements
Tập 71 Số 3 - Trang 261-276 - 1952
Sj. Kaarsemaker, J. Coops
AbstractThe heats of combustion, melting points, heats of fusion, boiling points, refractive indices and in four cases the densities have been determined on selected samples of the cyclanes with 4 to 9 C‐atoms; some hitherto unknown transition points were discovered and the heats of transition measured. The heats of vaporisation at 25° are estimated. Results of the measurements are discussed.
