The analog bipolar-JFET Master Slice Array (MSA) has been designed to implement multichannel ICs used in front-end and common-use electronics as well. Functionally complicated ICs can be designed on the basis of this MSA due to the universal construction of the MSA's active and passive elements. The high quality of active element parameters, number and values of resistors and capacitors make it possible to embody a four channel amplifier-filter-discriminator into the MSA die with dimensions 2.7 mm/spl times/3.6 mm. Joining of two chips by metal interconnections on a wafer makes it possible to produce an eight channel IC of similar function.
