Trong chương này, chúng tôi xem xét những tiến bộ lý thuyết và thực nghiệm trong nghiên cứu về sự phát triển vị thành niên trong bối cảnh quan hệ giữa các cá nhân và xã hội. Đầu tiên, chúng tôi xác định một số xu hướng trong nghiên cứu hiện tại, bao gồm sự nhấn mạnh hiện nay vào các mô hình sinh thái và sự chú trọng đến sự đa dạng trong và các mô hình quan hệ của sự phát triển vị thành niên.
