Một loài mới và hai loài mới được ghi nhận của Quercus (Fagaceae) từ miền Bắc Việt Nam.

Tóm tắt

Một loài mới, Quercus xuanlienensis Binh, Ngoc & Bon, được mô tả từ Khu Bảo tồn Thiên nhiên Xuân Liên, Việt Nam. Loài mới này có hình thái tương tự như Q. edithiae Skan, với 8-11 cặp gân phụ, các cupule hình bát và quả hình ellipsoid đến hình ellipsoid trụ và có đáy lồi. Nó khác với loài này ở chỗ có các mép lá có răng cưa chỉ ở phần ngọn 1/5-1/7, mép của bracts trên cupule gần như nguyên vẹn và quả dài hơn nhiều. Loài này cũng tương tự như Q. fleuryi Hickel & A. Camus vì có lá không lông ở cả hai mặt với chỉ 1 mép răng cưa ở phần ngọn nhưng khác ở chỗ cuống ngắn hơn, cupule bao bọc 1/5 quả và quả dài hơn nhiều. Ngoài ra, Q. disciformis Chun & Tsiang và Q. bella Chun & Tsiang, trước đây được biết đến từ Trung Quốc, đã được ghi nhận mới từ Vườn Quốc gia Ba Vì, Việt Nam.
