Triệu chứng lâm sàng và hình ảnh radiological của bệnh phổi tắc nghẽn mãn tính (COPD) là khác nhau tùy thuộc vào các nguồn gốc viêm cụ thể. Nghiên cứu này nhằm mục đích đánh giá các kiểu hình COPD liên quan đến sự tiếp xúc với bụi cụ thể.

Phương pháp

Nghiên cứu này được thiết kế để so sánh các đặc điểm, kết quả lâm sàng và các phát hiện hình ảnh radiological giữa hai nhóm bệnh nhân COPD tiền cứu đại diện cho hai vùng khác nhau ở Hàn Quốc; COPD ở Khu vực Bụi (CODA) và nhóm Bệnh Phổi Tắc Nghẽn Hàn Quốc (KOLD). Tổng cộng có 733 người tham gia (n = 186 cho CODA và n = 547 cho KOLD) đã được đưa vào cuối cùng. Phân tích đa biến để so sánh chức năng phổi và các phép đo chụp CT của cả hai nghiên cứu đã được thực hiện sau khi điều chỉnh theo độ tuổi, giới tính, giáo dục, chỉ số khối cơ thể, tình trạng hút thuốc, và năm gói, chỉ số bệnh đi kèm Charlson, và tần suất bùng phát bằng cách nhập vào mô hình theo từng bước mức FEV1(%), sự tiếp xúc với sinh khối và thuốc điều trị COPD.
