Key Points

Rap1 and its effector RIAM are required for integrin-mediated T-cell adhesion and homing to lymph nodes, but not for T-cell development. RIAM regulates the activation of lymphocyte function-associated antigen 1 and very late antigen 4 on lymphocytes, but not αIIbβ3 on platelets.
