Sau cuộc chiến Vịnh năm 1991, một nhóm 94 trẻ em tại Iraq đã được phỏng vấn vào 6 tháng, 1 năm và 2 năm sau chiến tranh. Nhóm trẻ này đã phải chứng kiến vụ ném bom một nơi trú ẩn nơi hơn 750 người bị thiệt mạng. Các yếu tố được chọn từ các bảng khảo sát khác nhau, bao gồm Thang đo tác động của sự kiện (IES) đã đánh giá phản ứng của trẻ em.
