The nanotechnology research promotion at RIKEN is introduced. RIKEN has started its nanotechnology-related projects in 1980's. From 2002, nanotechnology-related laboratories and projects in RIKEN are unified in the RIKEN Nanoscience Program, in order to promote the activities in this field as a total program.
