Heterosis in relation to per-se performance and effects of general combining ability in sugarcaneSugar Tech - Tập 6 - Trang 181-185 - 2004
P. S. Verma, S. B. Singh
Twenty four crosses, obtained from eight lines x three testers were studied for sca, gea effects, per-se performance and heterosis, in ten characters viz; millable canes/clump, internodes/cane, stalk weight, stalk girth, kg-brix, sucrose per cent in juice, purity coefficient, invert sugar, ccs/cane and fibre per cent. The study revealed no association between combining ability effect and hctcrotic...... hiện toàn bộ
SSR-Based Genetic Identity of Sugarcane Clones and its Potential Application in Breeding and Variety ExtensionSugar Tech - Tập 22 - Trang 367-378 - 2020
Zhoutao Wang, Yongbao Pan, Jun Luo, Qian You, Liping Xu, Hua Zhang, Youxiong Que
Sugarcane variety regional test and integrated demonstration play an important role in identifying new varieties of high yield, disease resistance and wide adaptability. In this study, 15 SSR primer pairs were used to assess the genetic diversity among 68 sugarcane clones involved in three cycles of national regional tests and four cycles of integrated demonstrations in China. In total, 141 DNA fr...... hiện toàn bộ
Design and Development of Sugarcane Top Chopper and its Field PerformanceSugar Tech - Tập 23 - Trang 1192-1198 - 2021
Jiwei Hu, Shaochun Ma, Fenglei Wang, Haonan Xing, Jing Bai, Yi Wei, Zhengliang Ding
As a by-product of sugarcane industry, sugarcane green tops has not been effectively collected and utilized in the mechanized harvesting of sugarcane. It has caused significant economic losses. In this study, a tractor mounted sugarcane top chopper was designed. A series of field tests were carried out to explore the effect of the cutting speed and cutting drum gap on cane top recovery weight and...... hiện toàn bộ
Analysis of Sedimentary Components in Post-haze Concentrated Sugarcane JuiceSugar Tech - Tập 20 - Trang 617-620 - 2018
Rui-Jing Qu, Kai Li, Fang-Xue Hang, Wen Li, Cai-Feng Xie
The development of post-haze in concentrated sugarcane juice (CSJ) during storage is a common problem which appears sporadically and usually without obvious cause. In the current study, sediment components in hazed CSJ were investigated. Thermogravimetric analysis demonstrated that the sediment was primarily composed of organic materials. Fourier transform infrared spectra showed that polysacchari...... hiện toàn bộ
The sea beet (Beta vulgaris L. ssp.maritima) of the adriatic coast as source of resistance for sugar beetSugar Tech - Tập 3 - Trang 77-82 - 2001
Piergiorgio Stevanato, Marco De Biaggi, George N. Skaracis, Mauro Colombo, Giuseppe Mandolino, Enrico Biancardi
The sea beet is considered the ancestral species from which the different types of cultivated beet originate. Its hybridation is easy because of its evolutionary proximity, unlike with other species of the GenusBeta. These traits have long made the sea beet the subject of research aimed at targeting and isolating its useful characters which could then be transferred to cultivated beet. The sea bee...... hiện toàn bộ
A new record of white muscardine fungus on internode borer of sugarcaneSugar Tech - Tập 4 - Trang 63-65 - 2002
S. Easwaramoorthy, G. Santhalakshmi, R. Nirmala
The white muscardine fungus,Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill., was recorded for the first time on sugarcane internode borer,Chilo sacchariphagus indicus (Kapur) in a field survey conducted at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In laboratory tests, the fungus caused 10.0 to 93.3% mortality in third instar larvae and 3.3 to 100.0% mortality in fourth instar larvae when treated at 104–109 spores/ml. The incubat...... hiện toàn bộ
