Disturbing forces responsible for the actual figure of pallasStudia Geophysica et Geodaetica - Tập 37 - Trang 326-330 - 1993
M. Burša
The tri-axial figure of the asteroid 2 Pallas poses the question of the origin of this phenomenon. The tidal-forming potential and rotational disturbances may be fully responsible for it. However, this hypothesis requires Pallas to be a primordial satellite orbiting the hypothetical central body synchronously, i.e. in 1/1 orbital/rotational resonance; its mean motion has been estimated.
Minimum 1D Velocity Model from Local Earthquake Data in the Provence Region, South-Eastern FranceStudia Geophysica et Geodaetica - Tập 48 - Trang 731-740 - 2004
R. Raffaele, J.P. Fourno, S. Gresta
We computed a one-dimensional (1D) velocity model and station corrections refering to the Provence region (South-eastern France) by inverting P-wave arrival times recorded on an eight-station local seismic network. Using this velocity model and the program HYPOELLIPSE (Lahr, 1989), we relocated a set of 108 local events. The quality comparison between previous earthquake locations and new relocate...... hiện toàn bộ
Some pressure test phenomena of worden and CG-2 (sharpe) gravimetersStudia Geophysica et Geodaetica - Tập 25 - Trang 14-23 - 1981
Karel Diviš, Viktor Höschl, Stanislav Hrách
The results of pressure tests of gravimeters Worden No. 961, CG-2 Nos 174 G, 323 and 374 in a pressure chamber are presented. Apart from deriving the barometric correction, the authors have also studied accompanying phenomena, which occur during pressure tests of gravimeters — the barometric “after-effect” and hysteresis. The processing of the results in two ways differing in the method of elimina...... hiện toàn bộ
Model of radiation processes in atmospheric layers polluted by aerosol particlesStudia Geophysica et Geodaetica - Tập 19 - Trang 167-183 - 1975
Jan Bednář
An attempt is made at modelling numerically the effect of atmospheric aerosols on radiation processes. Solar and thermal radiation absorption by aerosol particles is considered and this increases the temperature of the polluted air. On the other hand, thermal irradiation by the aerosols cools the atmospheric layers, containing an increased concentration of aerosol particles and helps to generate a...... hiện toàn bộ
The geomagenetic storm effect in the middle atmosphere — First resultsStudia Geophysica et Geodaetica - Tập 35 - Trang 100-108 - 1991
Jan Laštovička
Geomagnetic storms belong to the most important phenomena of solar origin which affect the ionosphere and atmosphere. We study the responses of the lower ionosphere, middle stratospheric ozone, total ozone and the troposphere (vorticity area index at 500 hPa) to isolated and major geomagnetic storms. The expected positive effect is observed in the lower ionosphere. No observable effect is detected...... hiện toàn bộ
The seismic signature of the Iapetus Suture beneath the North SeaStudia Geophysica et Geodaetica - Tập 39 - Trang 235-240 - 1995
Richard W. England
Deep seismic reflection profiles across the Mid-North Sea High and the Anglo-Dutch basin record a number of intra-crustal and mantle events. When combined with interpretations of potential field data and surface geology, these can be attributed to the Iapetus Suture, beneath the Mid-North Sea High, and the remains of an Ordovician subduction zone, beneath the concealed Caledonide basement of easte...... hiện toàn bộ
