“Lytic” lesions in autologous bone grafts: demonstration of medullary air pockets on post mortem computed tomographySpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 3 - Trang 270-274 - 2007
A. Rotman, K. Hamilton, C. O’Donnell
Donor bone grafts are an important aspect of orthopaedic surgery. The use of
plain film as a pathological screening tool before donor bone dispatch has
revealed “lytic” lesions in proximal humeri. Donor demographics did not support
the diagnosis of myeloma and subsequent computed tomography (CT) scans of these
bones identified the lesions as air, not pathology. In total, 27 long bones were
scanned... hiện toàn bộ
VirtoScan - a mobile, low-cost photogrammetry setup for fast post-mortem 3D full-body documentations in x-ray computed tomography and autopsy suitesSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 13 - Trang 34-43 - 2017

Injuries such as bite marks or boot prints can leave distinct patterns on the
body’s surface and can be used for 3D reconstructions. Although various systems
for 3D surface imaging have been introduced in the forensic field, most
techniques are both cost-intensive and time-consuming. In this article, we
present the VirtoScan, a mobile, multi-camera rig based on close-range
photogrammetry. The syst... hiện toàn bộ
Young adults in motor vehicle collisions in Norway: user safety errors observed in majority of cases with severe or fatal injuriesSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - - 2022
Jan Mario Breen, Pål Aksel Næss, Trond Boye Hansen, Christine Gaarder, Harald Klemmetsen, Arne Stray-Pedersen
We performed a multidisciplinary investigation of young adults involved in motor
vehicle collisions (MVCs) to elucidate injury mechanisms and the role of passive
safety equipment such as seat belts and airbags. MVCs resulting in death or
serious injuries to the driver or passengers aged 16–24 years in southeastern
Norway during 2013–2016 were investigated upon informed consent. We assessed the

Classical syphilitic lesions from the museumSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - - 2018
Roger W. Byard
Syphilis is an increasingly diagnosed venereal disease which has four
distinctive stages that may last over decades if appropriate treatment is not
given. Review of the files of the Pathology Museum in the Faculty of Medicine at
The University of Adelaide revealed three cases with classical cardiovascular
and neurological findings. Case 1: An 80-year-old man with a large syphilitic
aneurysm of the... hiện toàn bộ
