This study evaluated technical efficacy and safety of stent angioplasty of the
inferior vena cava (IVC) after liver transplantation or liver resection and
analysis of changes in creatinine levels and patients’ weight. Between October
2004 and February 2011, 16 patients (mean age, 52.6 years) with symptomatic IVC
stenoses after liver transplantation (n = 10) or liver resection (n = 6) were
subjecte... hiện toàn bộ
Effect of Transcatheter Arterial Microembolization on Phantom Limb Pain Persisting for 17 YearsSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 42 - Trang 471-474 - 2018
Masahiko Shibuya, Masayoshi Yamamoto, Yuji Okuno
Phantom limb pain is a frequent consequence of the amputation; currently
available treatments are far from satisfactory. The present report describes a
case in which transcatheter arterial microembolization had a remarkable curative
effect on phantom limb pain persisting for 17 years. The patient began feeling
phantom limb sensations and brief intermittent pain following lower limb
amputation abov... hiện toàn bộ
Transcatheter Arterial Embolization with N-Butyl-2-Cyanoacrylate in the Management of Spontaneous HematomasSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 40 - Trang 41-49 - 2016
Umut Ozyer
Spontaneous hematoma refractory to conservative management is a potentially
serious condition that requires prompt diagnosis and intervention. The purpose
of this study was to evaluate the performance of computed tomography (CT) in the
treatment planning and to report the effectiveness of transcatheter embolization
with N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NBCA). Forty-one interventions in 38 patients

Stent Graft in Managing Juxta-Renal Aortoiliac OcclusionSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 26 - Trang 468-470 - 2003
V. Prabhudesai, K. Mitra, D. J. West, M. R. E. Dean
Endovascular procedures are frequently used as an alternative to surgical bypass
in aortic and iliac occlusion. Stents have revolutionized the scope of such
endovascular procedures, but there are few reports of stents or stent grafts in
occlusive juxta-renal aortic occlusion. We present a case where such occlusion
was managed by use of a stent graft with successful outcome.
Intraarterial digital subtraction angiography with carbon dioxide: Superior detectability of arteriovenous shuntingSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 11 - Trang 101-107 - 1988

Intraarterial digital subtraction angiography (IADSA) with carbon dioxide (CO2)
was performed on 41 patients with liver or renal diseases. CO2 produced no
hypersensitivity reactions, and the pain or feeling of warmth was relatively
mild compared with iodinated contrast media. Although the image quality of the
arterial or capillary phase was inferior to that with iodinated contrast media,
the detec... hiện toàn bộ
Irinotecan Loaded in Eluting Beads: Preclinical Assessment in a Rabbit VX2 Liver Tumor ModelSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 35 - Trang 1448-1459 - 2012

The purpose of this study was to study the pharmacokinetics of irinotecan
injected intravenously, intra-arterially, or loaded onto a delivery platform.
Fifty-four New Zealand White rabbits with VX2 liver tumor, divided in 3 groups
of 17 rabbits, each received irinotecan either by intravenous (IV) route,
intra-arterial hepatic (IA) route, or loaded on drug-eluting beads (DEBIRI).
Animals were kille... hiện toàn bộ
Refractory Cystobiliary Fistula Secondary to Percutaneous Treatment of Hydatid Cyst: Treatment with N-Butyl 2-Cyanoacrylate EmbolizationSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 34 - Trang 266-270 - 2010
Murat Canyigit, Mehmet Gumus, Nurdan Cay, Bekir Erol, Mustafa Karaoglanoglu, Okan Akhan
A 27-year-old female with a type 2 hydatid cystic lesion in the liver according
to the Gharbi classification (CE 3A according to the WHO classification) was
referred for percutaneous treatment after albendazole treatment for 1 year. A
catheterization technique was performed but hypertonic saline and alcohol were
not given into the cavity due to cystobiliary leakage. During the 4-month
follow-up pe... hiện toàn bộ
