Mathematical Modeling and Analysis of Aerodynamic and Thermal Effects on the Descent Module of the Spacecraft ExoMars-2020 During Soft Landing
Solar System Research - Tập 55 - Trang 668-676 - 2021
A. V. Babakov, S. I. Shmatov
Abstract—Results of a numerical study of the flow structure occurring between the descent module and landing surface during the braking maneuver of the propulsion system are presented. Data on the force and thermal effect of the emerging flow on the descent module are given, depending on its distance and orientation relative to the landing surface and amount of the braking engine thrust. The pictu... hiện toàn bộ

The effect of radiation losses on the dispersion and damping of magnetohydrodynamic waves in the solar corona is studied. The conditions are determined under which radiation losses are most appreciable. A damping of kink modes of coronal loops with plasma temperatures within 106–106.3 K and 106.3–107 K are compared. It is concluded that the radiation damping dominates in the temperature range 106–... hiện toàn bộ

Layer-by-layer analysis of the fine fraction of Luna-16 sample L1635 by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) revealed a zonal structure of its constituent particles. The outer zone, to a depth of 1200 Å, is enriched with Si and Fe and depleted in refractory elements Mg, Ca, and Al as compared to the bulk composition of the sample. The second zone, in the depth range from 1200 to 4500 Å, is of ve... hiện toàn bộ

We present the results of photometric observations of Saturn's seventh satellite Hyperion and four other planetary satellites: Saturn's moon Phoebe and three Jovian satellites Himalia, Elara, and Pasiphae. The observations have been conducted from September, 1999 to March, 2000, and during September–October, 2000. Analysis of periodic variations in Hyperion's lightcurve was performed. The lightcur... hiện toàn bộ

We present new results obtained from the analysis of the seasonal variations in the asymmetry of polarization of light reflected by Jupiter. From the 23-year set of observations, the anticorrelation between the asymmetries of polarization and insolation has been revealed. The mechanism explaining the observed seasonal variations of polarization has been proposed. The core of this mechanism is the ... hiện toàn bộ
On the accuracy of lunar ephemerides using the data provided by the future Russian lunar laser ranging system
Solar System Research - Tập 50 - Trang 361-367 - 2016

The potential effect of the future Russian lunar laser ranging system (LLRS) on the accuracy of lunar ephemerides is discussed. In addition to the LLRS in Altai, several other observatories suitable for the LLRS installation are considered. The variation of accuracy of lunar ephemerides in the process of commissioning of new LLRS stations is estimated by mathematical modeling. It is demonstrated t... hiện toàn bộ
