Taxonomy of an anamorphic xylariaceous fungus from a termite nest found together with Xylaria angulosaMycoscience - Tập 48 - Trang 240-249 - 2007
Izumi Okane, Akira Nakagiri
Two xylariaceous fungi were isolated from a nest of a termite, Odontotermes formosanus, that was incubated in a laboratory after collecting from Iriomote Is., Okinawa Pref., in Japan. One of the two fungi was identified as Xylaria angulosa on the basis of the morphology of branched stroma produced on medium, tiny asci, and ascospores having a germ slit. Another fungus is an anamorphic fungus that ...... hiện toàn bộ
Purification and some properties of an isoform of metal proteinases fromHypsizygus marmoreus grown on sawdust cultureMycoscience - Tập 39 - Trang 471-474 - 1998
Takao Terashita, Yoko Nakaie, Kentaro Yoshikawa, Jiko Shishiyama
Purification and some properties of an isoform of metal proteinase fromHypsizygus marmoreus are described. This enzyme was purified 711-fold with 5.44% recovery. The molecular weight and pl value were 41,500 and pH 7.7, respectively. The highest activity was observed against milk casein as the substrate. This enzyme was strongly inhibited by metal proteinase inhibitors such as phosphoramidon, EDTA...... hiện toàn bộ
Two new species ofDelitschia from submerged woodMycoscience - Tập 37 - Trang 99-102 - 1996
Kevin D. Hyde, Trevor S. Steinke
Two new species ofDelitschia are described from submerged wood;D. palmietensis collected in the Palmiet River in Durban Westville, South Africa andD. fasciatispora from the Black River, Mauritius. This brings the total ofDelitschia species known from non-coprophilous habitats to four.Delitschia palmietensis andD. fasciatispora are described and illustrated with light micrographs and discussed in r...... hiện toàn bộ
Studies on turfgrass snow mold caused byTyphula ishikariensis. II. Microscopical observation of infected bentgrass leavesMycoscience - Tập 36 - Trang 179-185 - 1995
Ko-Ichi Oshiman, Issei Kobayashi, Haruhiro Shigemitsu, Hitoshi Kunoh
Light and transmission electron microscopy revealed thatTyphula ishikariensis penetrated into bentgrass leaves either through cuticles or stomata either by single hyphae or infection cushions formed on host surfaces. Time course study on infected leaves showed that penetration through stomatal subsidiary cells and their adjacent cells seemed to occur earlier than that through epidermal cells locat...... hiện toàn bộ
