Taxonomy of an anamorphic xylariaceous fungus from a termite nest found together with Xylaria angulosaMycoscience - Tập 48 - Trang 240-249 - 2007
Izumi Okane, Akira Nakagiri
Two xylariaceous fungi were isolated from a nest of a termite, Odontotermes
formosanus, that was incubated in a laboratory after collecting from Iriomote
Is., Okinawa Pref., in Japan. One of the two fungi was identified as Xylaria
angulosa on the basis of the morphology of branched stroma produced on medium,
tiny asci, and ascospores having a germ slit. Another fungus is an anamorphic
fungus that ... hiện toàn bộ
Endospore formation in Hanseniaspora pseudoguilliermondii: a key characteristics of the speciesMycoscience - Tập 51 - Trang 373-378 - 2010
Yumi Imanishi, Sasitorn Jindamorakot, Savitree Limtong, Takashi Nakase
In the course of a study on yeast diversity in Japan and Thailand, we isolated
two yeast strains with bipolar budding patterns. Physiological and phylogenetic
analysis suggested that these two strains were identical to Hanseniaspora
pseudoguilliermondii. However, these strains produced hat-shaped ascospores and
endospores, the latter of which was an unknown characteristic of the species.
Endospore... hiện toàn bộ
Ubiquinone system, GC contents and cellular fatty acid composition of species of the form-genus Malbranchea and Coccidioides immitis for chemotaxonomic studyMycoscience - Tập 36 - Trang 385 - 1995
Fukushima Kazutaka, Miyaji Makoto, Nishimura Kazuko, Maebayashi Yukio, Takizawa Kayoko, Okada Kaoru
Ubiquinone system, GC contents and cellular fatty acid (CFA) composition were
analyzed as criteria for chemotaxonomy of Maibranchea species and Coccidioides
immitis, which are suggested to be phylogenetically related. Based on the major
ubiquinone, Malbranchea spp. were divided into two groups, of which one group
possessed the same major ubiquinone as C. immitis. Similar GC contents and CFA
profil... hiện toàn bộ

The order phyllachorales: Taxonomic reviewMycoscience - Tập 39 - Trang 97-104 - 1998
Denise M. W. Silva-Hanlin, Richard T. Halin
The order Phyllachorales contains ascomycetous fungi of considerable economic
importance. The group is represented mostly by foliar parasites which produce
perithecia under a clypeus, inside a stroma, or do not produce any stromatic
tissue. A major taxonomic problem with this order is the lack of reliable
morphological characters that clearly delimit the entire group. The main purpose
of this revi... hiện toàn bộ
Bambusicolous fungi in Japan (5): three species of TetraploaMycoscience - Tập 46 - Trang 196-200 - 2005
Satoshi Hatakeyama, Kazuaki Tanaka, Yukio Harada
Three species of Tetraploa collected from Sasa, or bamboos, are described and
illustrated. Among them, T. curviappendiculata on Sasa kurilensis and T.
longissima on Pleioblastus chino are compared with hitherto known species and
described as new species. In the nomenclature, T. javanica is substituted for T.
biformis, formerly reported from the dead bark of a broad-leaved tree in Japan,
as a corre... hiện toàn bộ
RFLP analysis for species separation in the generaBipolaris andCurvulariaMycoscience - Tập 35 - Trang 271-278 - 1994
Minoru Nakada, Chihiro Tanaka, Koichiro Tsunewaki, Mitsuya Tsuda
Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) of the total DNA ofBipolaris
andCurvularia species was analysed using arbitrarily chosen genomic clones of
DNA fromCurvularia lunata andBipolaris maydis as probes. Clear differences among
species in both genera, resulting in different banding positions, were obtained
with some probe-enzyme combinations. Intraspecific polymorphism in banding
positions... hiện toàn bộ
