Taxonomy of an anamorphic xylariaceous fungus from a termite nest found together with Xylaria angulosaMycoscience - Tập 48 - Trang 240-249 - 2007

Two xylariaceous fungi were isolated from a nest of a termite, Odontotermes formosanus, that was incubated in a laboratory after collecting from Iriomote Is., Okinawa Pref., in Japan. One of the two fungi was identified as Xylaria angulosa on the basis of the morphology of branched stroma produced on medium, tiny asci, and ascospores having a germ slit. Another fungus is an anamorphic fungus that ...... hiện toàn bộ
Endospore formation in Hanseniaspora pseudoguilliermondii: a key characteristics of the speciesMycoscience - Tập 51 - Trang 373-378 - 2010

In the course of a study on yeast diversity in Japan and Thailand, we isolated two yeast strains with bipolar budding patterns. Physiological and phylogenetic analysis suggested that these two strains were identical to Hanseniaspora
pseudoguilliermondii. However, these strains produced hat-shaped ascospores and endospores, the latter of which was an unknown characteristic o...... hiện toàn bộ
Induction of apoptosis in cultured cells by extracts from shiitake (Lentinula edodes) mycelial culture brothMycoscience - Tập 41 - Trang 623-631 - 2000
Bingye Han, Tetsuo Toyomasu, Takao Shinozawa
Extracts fromshiitake (Lentinula edodes) mycelial culture broth, by an organic solvent ethyl acetate, inhibited the proliferation of cultured cells. At lower concentrations (1.25–15 μg/ml), this inhibition, measured by the MTT assay, was dose- and cell line-dependent. Inhibition of tumor cells, such as Caski, SiHa, HeLa, HP-1 and A375, byL. edodes-436 extracts was stronger than inhibition of norma...... hiện toàn bộ
