Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (about 85–90% of
primary liver cancer) is particularly prevalent in China because of the high
prevalence of chronic hepatitis B infection. HCC is the fourth most common
malignancy and the third leading cause of tumor-related deaths in China. It
poses a significant threat to the life and health of Chinese people.

Aim/Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity of 3
classifications for assessing liver function, the liver damage and Child-Pugh
classifications and the newly proposed albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) grade, in order
to examine the feasibility of evaluating hepatic function using ALBI grade with
the hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treatment algorithm used in Japan. Methods:

Dual Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor and Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor Inhibition Elicits Antitumor Immunity and Enhances Programmed Cell Death-1 Checkpoint Blockade in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Tập 9 Số 3 - Trang 338-357 - 2020
Haijing Deng, Anna Kan, Ning Lv, Luwen Mu, Yi Han, Longzhong Liu, Yanyu Zhang, Youfa Duan, Shuangye Liao, Shaolong Li, Qingling Xie, Tianxiao Gao, Yanrong Li, Zhenfeng Zhang, Ming Zhao
Background and Aims: Combining anti-angiogenic therapy with immune
checkpoint blockade with anti-programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) antibodies is a
promising treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Tyrosine kinase
inhibitors are well-known anti-angiogenic agents and offer potential for
combination with anti-PD-1 antibodies. This study investigated the possible
underlying immunomodu... hiện toàn bộ
A Worldwide Survey of the Current Daily Practice in Liver Surgery Tập 2 Số 1 - Trang 55-66 - 2013

Background: Liver resection remains the mainstay of curative
treatment for liver malignancies. A variety of preoperative assessments and
surgical techniques have improved the short- and long-term outcomes of liver
resection in patients with liver tumors. Recently, laparoscopic hepatectomies
have been increasingly performed. The aim of the present study is to survey the
current practi... hiện toàn bộ
Pretreatment Heterogeneous Enhancement Pattern of Hepatocellular Carcinoma May Be a Useful New Predictor of Early Response to Lenvatinib and Overall Prognosis Tập 9 Số 3 - Trang 275-292 - 2020

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance
of pretreatment computed tomography (CT) enhancement of hepatocellular carcinoma
(HCC) as a potential predictor of response to lenvatinib and its relevance to
survival outcomes. Methods: We evaluated 51 consecutive patients
who received lenvatinib treatment for unresectable HCC. On imaging analysis,

Background: There is no standard posttreatment for patients with
advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in whom lenvatinib therapy has failed.
This study aimed to investigate rates of migration to posttreatment after
lenvatinib and to explore candidates for second-line agents in the patients with
failed lenvatinib therapy. Methods: We retrospectively collected
data on ... hiện toàn bộ
Outcomes of Hepatic Resection in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma Patients with Diabetes, Hypertension, and Dyslipidemia: Significance of Routine Follow-Up Tập 5 Số 2 - Trang 107-120 - 2016

Background: The outcomes of hepatic resection in
intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) patients with diabetes mellitus (DM),
hypertension (HT), and dyslipidemia (DL) (metabolic components) remain unclear.
Methods: The outcomes of 43 ICC patients without known risk
factors for ICC who underwent hepatic resection were retrospectively reviewed.
These patients... hiện toàn bộ
