A TWO‐STAGE TECHNIQUE FOR THE IN VITRO DIGESTION OF FORAGE CROPS Tập 18 Số 2 - Trang 104-111 - 1963
J. M. A. Tilley, R. A. Terry
A simple technique for the determination in vitro of the dry‐ or organic‐matter
digestibility of small (0·5 g) samples of dried forages is described. It
involves incubation first with rumen liquor and then with acid pepsin. Using 146
samples of grass, clover and lucerne of known in vivo digestibility (Y), the
regression equation Y= 0·99 X– 1·01 (S.E. ± 2·31) has been calculated, where

On the analysis of dacron bag data for low degradability feeds Tập 43 Số 4 - Trang 441-444 - 1988
M.S. Dhanoa
AbstractThe effect of lag phase on the estimates of parameters from the analysis
of dacron bags is investigated. Simultaneous estimation of the lag parameter
within the McDonald model is shown to be advantageous.
Tannins in forage plants and their role in animal husbandry and environmental sustainability: a review Tập 69 Số 1 - Trang 32-48 - 2014
Giovanna Piluzza, L. Sulas, S. Bullitta
AbstractThe literature about tannins, polyphenolic secondary metabolites of
plants, with both beneficial and adverse function according to their
concentration and chemical structure, is vast and often conflicting. Tannins in
forages have often been described as antinutritional factors, but this review
aims to update information on beneficial effects on animals and the environment.

Grassland and globalization – challenges for north‐west European grass and forage research Tập 69 Số 1 - Trang 2-16 - 2014
F. Taube, M. Gierus, Alexander Hermann, Ralf Loges, Philipp Schönbach
AbstractThe concept of sustainable intensification has recently been developed
to raise productivity (as distinct from increasing volume of production) while
reducing environmental impacts. This means increasing yields per unit of inputs
(including nutrients, water, energy capital and land) as well as per unit of
undesirable outputs (such as greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution or loss
of bio... hiện toàn bộ
