Production and demand for glass fiber and glass plastics in USA
Glass and Ceramics - Tập 22 - Trang 118-118 - 1965
Product testing and certification
Glass and Ceramics - - 1997
The paper sums up the experience of a center for testing and certification of table ware, art and decorative articles, gift-type products, etc., manufactured from ceramics, glass, metals, and plastics.
Phase composition and structure of dull low-melting glazes
Glass and Ceramics - Tập 63 - Trang 122-126 - 2006
The possibility of producing dull low-melting glazes for ceramic products to be fired according to a slow firing regime based on the system Na2O-MgO-CaO-B2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 is demonstrated. The results of studying glaze glasses and coatings by x-ray phase analysis, electron microscopy, infrared microscopy, etc. are described. A correlation between the structure and the phase composition of coatings and their qualitative characteristics is established. The main properties of synthesized dull glazes are specified.
Experience in reconstructing a glass-making furnace
Glass and Ceramics - Tập 64 - Trang 163-166 - 2007
The concept of upgrading a glass-making furnace and the practicality of the engineering solutions used for this purpose are examined. It is shown that mathematical simulation of the thermophysical processes involved in glass-making would be helpful for furnace reconstruction.
Effect of convective glass exchange in sheet-glass furnaces on temperature homogeneity of the molten glass
Glass and Ceramics - Tập 32 - Trang 320-324 - 1975
Effect of viscosity and surface tension on the “flow” of glazes
Glass and Ceramics - Tập 26 Số 1 - Trang 44-47 - 1969
Chemical Composition of Medieval Chuy Ceramic: X-Ray Fluorescence Study
Glass and Ceramics - Tập 75 - Trang 413-415 - 2019
The results of an investigation of the chemical composition of ceramic from medieval centers of ceramic production and modern ceramics in the Chuy valley of Kyrgyzstan (sites of the ancient settlements Krasnaya Rechka and Burana are on the UNESCO World Heritage List) in order to determine more accurately the location of the clay that medieval ceramicists could have used. The chemical composition of the ceramic was determined by the wavelength-dispersive x-ray fluorescence method.
