Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen experiments: the structure of the probability space. IFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 1 Số 3 - Trang 205-244 - 1988
Kläy, Matthias P.
Incompatibility of measurements, central to quantum mechanics, is captured in
the formalism of empirical logic, which is based on a generalization of the
notion of a sample space in Kolmogoroff's axiomatic theory of probability. In
composite empirical systems of the kind considered in the
Einstein-Podolsky-RosenGedankenexperiment, incompatibility gives rise to the
notion of influence, which is clo... hiện toàn bộ
On the Role of Spin in Quantum MechanicsFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 12 - Trang 165-177 - 2014
Salvatore Esposito
From the invariance properties of the Schrödinger equation and the isotropy of
space we show that a generic (non-relativistic) quantum system is endowed with
an “external” motion, which can be interpreted as the motion of the centre of
mass, and an “internal” one, whose presence disappears in the classical limit.
The latter is caused by the spin of the particle, whatever is its actual value

Contracted Representation of Yang's Spacetime Algebra and Buniy-Hsu-Zee's Discrete SpacetimeFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 19 - Trang 567-578 - 2006
Sho Tanaka
Motivated by the recent proposition by Buniy, Hsu, and Zee with respect to
discrete spacetime and finite spatial degrees of freedom of our physical world
with short- and long-distance scales, l P and L, we reconsider the
Lorentz-covariant Yang's quantized spacetime algebra (YSTA), which is
intrinsically equipped with two such kinds of scale parameters, λ and R. In
accordance with their proposition... hiện toàn bộ
Weber electrodynamics, part I. general theory, steady current effectsFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 3 - Trang 443-469 - 1990
J. P. Wesley
The original Weber action at a distance theory, valid for slowly varying
effects, is extended to time-retarded fields, valid for rapidly varying effects
including radiation. A new law for the force on a charge moving in this field is
derived (replacing the Lorentz force which violates Newton's third law). The
limitations of the Maxwell theory are discussed. The Weber theory, in addition
to predict... hiện toàn bộ
Arithmetic of the Integer Quantum Hall EffectFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 11 - Trang 561-571 - 2014
Vipin Srivastava
The integer quantum Hall effect (IQHE) is analysed, considering the degeneracies
of localized and extended states separately. Occupied localized and extended
states are counted, and their variation is studied as a function of magnetic
field. The number of current-carrying electrons is found to have a saw-tooth
variation with magnetic field. The analysis addresses certain basic questions in
the IQH... hiện toàn bộ
Unification of the forcesFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 5 - Trang 83-101 - 1992
Darwin L. Shannon
Unification of the forces is achieved via an elementary application of the
symmetry of parity-time-charge (PTC) inversion invariance to classical physics.
The strong color force between quarks is found to be a PTC-inversion of the
Coulomb force and to have a strength of about 3.75×105 times the Coulomb force
between electrons at a separation distance equal to the electron Coulomb radius,
r0/2 ≈ 0.... hiện toàn bộ
CONFORMAL INVARIANCE AND PARTICLE ASPECTS IN GENERAL RELATIVITYFoundations of Physics Letters - Tập 13 - Trang 297-303 - 2000
H. Salehi, H. R. Sepangi, F. Darabi
We study the breakdown of conformal symmetry in a conformally invariant
gravitational model. The symmetry breaking is introduced by defining a preferred
conformal frame in terms of the large scale characteristics of the universe. In
this context we show that a local change of the preferred conformal frame
results in a Hamilton-Jacobi equation describing a particle with adjustable
mass. In this equ... hiện toàn bộ
