Comparative study of pathological changes in the mouse viscera in infection caused by two orthopoxviruses
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine - Tập 141 - Trang 448-452 - 2006
The mechanisms of infection development in intraperitoneal inoculation of mice by ectromelia virus strain K-1 and cowpox strain EP-2 were studied. Ultrastructural parameters of virus assembly and maturation are described. Differences in the types of cells replicating the viruses and in the type of visceral injuries were detected. The studies showed a local type of strain EP-2 cowpox infection and dissemination of ectromelia strain K-1.
Kinetic differences between mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation systems of the intact and ischemic heart

Expanded record of the AgNORs reaction in the investigation of the parenchyma-stroma relationships in breast cancer
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine - Tập 122 - Trang 1032-1035 - 1996
Correlations between parenchymal and stromal AgNORs cells, on the one hand, and the morphometric parameters, HLA expression by the epithelium, and lymphocyte subpopulations, on the other, are analyzed in breast cancer. The relationships reflecting the interactions between parenchymal and stromal cells are evaluated in affected and intact tissues. The results obtained point at homeostatic stability of some structures in affected tissue.

Structure, Metabolism, and Functions of Peripheral Blood Lymphocytes during Long-Term Persistence of Epstein-Barr Virus
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine - Tập 136 - Trang 344-347 - 2003
Study of surface architectonics, blast transformation potential, and cytochemical activity of peripheral blood lymphocytes from children infected with Epstein-Barr virus revealed imbalance between structural, metabolic, and functional state of lymphocytes. This imbalance persists in delayed period after infection and determines long-term viral persistence in the macroorganism.

Structural and functional organization of the pain sensitivity component of lingual mechanoreceptor structures
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine - Tập 120 - Trang 989-993 - 1995
Examination of the structural and functional organization of tactile receptor structures in the rat tongue shows that the filiform mechanosensory papillae occupying the anterior free surface of the tongue are innervated by adrenergic, cholinergic, and peptidergic fibers. The location and sources of histamine are identified. All these components are thought to be involved in organizing the pain sensitivity of mechanosensory lingual formations.
