Data acquisition in multiple-sink sensor networksAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Tập 9 Số 3 - Trang 82-85 - 2005
Abhimanyu Das, Debojyoti Dutta
Scalable, energy-efficient data acquisition in large sensor network deployments
such as habitat monitoring is an research important problem. In several papers
[1, 2], sensor networks have been modeled as having a single sink (or
base-station) that acts as the data recipient for a large number of sensors
(data sources) deployed over a sensor field. The sensor network might use simple
querying and d... hiện toàn bộ
Probabilistic routing in intermittently connected networksAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Tập 7 Số 3 - Trang 19-20 - 2003
Anders Lindgren, Avri Doria, Olov Schelén
We consider the problem of routing in intermittently connected networks. In such
networks there is no guarantee that a fully connected path between source and
destination exist at any time, rendering traditional routing protocols unable to
deliver messages between hosts. We propose a probabilistic routing protocol for
such networks.
Routing and link-layer protocols for multi-channel multi-interface ad hoc wireless networksAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Tập 10 Số 1 - Trang 31-43 - 2006
Pradeep Kyasanur, Nitin H. Vaidya
Wireless technologies, such as IEEE 802.11a, that are used in ad hoc networks
provide for multiple non-overlapping channels. Most ad hoc network protocols
that are currently available are designed to use a single channel. However, the
available network capacity can be increased by using multiple channels. This
paper presents new protocols specifically designed to exploit multiple channels.

The holes problem in wireless sensor networksAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Tập 9 Số 2 - Trang 4-18 - 2005
Nadeem Ahmed, Salil S. Kanhere, Sanjay Jha
Several anomalies can occur in wireless sensor networks that impair their
desired functionalities i.e., sensing and communication. Different kinds of
holes can form in such networks creating geographically correlated problem areas
such as coverage holes, routing holes, jamming holes, sink/black holes and worm
holes, etc. We detail in this paper different types of holes, discuss their
characteristi... hiện toàn bộ
Centralized channel assignment and routing algorithms for multi-channel wireless mesh networksAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Tập 8 Số 2 - Trang 50-65 - 2004
Ashish Raniwala, Kartik Gopalan, Tzi‐cker Chiueh
The IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN standards allow multiple non-overlapping frequency
channels to be used simultaneously to increase the aggregate bandwidth available
to end-users. Such bandwidth aggregation capability is routinely used in
infrastructure mode operation, where the traffic to and from wireless nodes is
distributed among multiple interfaces of an access point or among multiple
access point... hiện toàn bộ
Weighted coloring based channel assignment for WLANsAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM) - Tập 9 Số 3 - Trang 19-31 - 2005
Arunesh Mishra, Suman Banerjee, William A. Arbaugh
We propose techniques to improve the usage of wireless spectrum in the context
of wireless local area networks (WLANs) using new channel assignment methods
among interfering Access Points (APs). We identify new ways of channel re-use
that are based on realistic interference scenarios in WLAN environments. We
formulate a weighted variant of the graph coloring problem that takes into
account realist... hiện toàn bộ

This article provides a snapshot of work underway within the Mobile Ad hoc
NETworks (MANET) Working Group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).
The article presents some issues currently under discussion on the MANET mailing
list, and also summarizes the proceedings of the last MANET WG meeting.
