Time-varying allpass filters using spectral-shaped noise for signal decorrelation in stereophonic acoustic echo cancellation2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 1273-1276 vol.2
N. Tangsangiumvisai, J.A. Chambers, A.G. Constantinides
In this paper, a signal decorrelation technique is presented that aims to
minimise the degradation on stereo signal perception, whilst alleviating the
non-uniqueness problem in stereophonic acoustic echo cancellation (SAEC). The
proposed technique is based on higher-order time-varying allpass filters
(HO-TV-APF) utilising spectral-shaped noise, together with the interpolation
method. The test resu... hiện toàn bộ

Composite PNLMS & NLMS adaptation: a new method for network echo cancellation2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 757-760 vol.2
M. Nekuii, M. Atarodi
This paper describes an improved version of the previously proposed fast
converging algorithm, the proportionate normalized least mean squares (PNLMS),
for network echo cancellers. We introduce a simple analysis of the PNLMS
convergence behavior to show why after the fast initial convergence, it slows
down. Also, the method has worked out to overcome this deficiency is presented.

The Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program (GTREP) was originally created to
provide the opportunity for students in southeastern Georgia to earn a Georgia
Tech undergraduate engineering degree without leaving the region. Students
complete two years of general education and engineering prerequisites at their
home institutions before beginning the Georgia Tech curriculum as juniors.

A global gradient descent algorithm for hierarchical FIR adaptive filters2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 1285-1288 vol.2
C.G. Boukis, D.P. Mandic
We present an extension of the recently introduced hierarchical least mean
square (HLMS) algorithm. The original algorithm suffers from two major
drawbacks, namely the incapability to converge for every unknown channel and the
dramatic deterioration of its performance as the number of levels increases
significantly. To be able to cope with these, a novel global gradient descent
algorithm is propos... hiện toàn bộ

Dynamic grid self-organizing map for clustering of visual evoked potential single trials2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 1125-1128 vol.2
M. Stavrinou, S. Papadimitriou, A. Bezerianos, P. Papathanasopoulos
The paper develops a novel learning model of clustering for evoked potential
single trials, called dynamic grid self-organized map (DG-SOM) designed
according to the peculiarities of evoked potential data. The DG-SOM determines
adaptively the number of clusters with a dynamic extension process which is able
to exploit class information whenever it exists. Specifically, it accepts
available class i... hiện toàn bộ

Wavelet variance analysis of high-resolution ECG in patients prone to VT/VF during cardiac electrophysiology studies2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 1133-1136 vol.2
A. Kapela, R.D. Berger, A. Achim, A. Bezerianos
This study evaluates influence of increased heart rate on beat-to-beat
variability of vector magnitude depolarisation signal in patients admitted for
cardiac electrophysiology studies. Electrical variability is quantitatively
assessed during normal sinus rhythm and during atrial pacing by means of the
Morlet wavelet transform variance in high-frequency region of 100 Hz to 250 Hz.

Improving the speed and performance of adaptive equalizers via transform based adaptive filtering2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 1301-1304 vol.2
M.A. Shamma
Adaptive equalizers are widely used in many communication systems where the
channel frequency response characteristics are either time varying or unknown
such as the case in wireless and dial up telecommunication networks where the
communication channel constantly change due to the different packet routes and
switching that takes place, as well as due to the changes in the RF propagation.

Limit cycles in embedded high-order, lowpass sigma-delta modulators with distinct NTF zeros2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 1043-1047 vol.2
N. Wong, Tung-Sang Ng
In a related work by the authors, high-order sigma-delta (/spl Sigma//spl
Delta/) modulators with distinct noise transfer function (NTF) zeros are
decomposed into second-order and first-order subsystems, whose
state-trajectories are then investigated by continuous-time embedding. This
paper, based on the properties of these subsystems, furthers the study by
introducing a scalable numerical method ... hiện toàn bộ

JPEG2000 parameters against watermarking2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 713-716 vol.2
V. Fotopoulos, A.N. Skodras
In the paper, the effects of the imminent JPEG2000 compression standard on
watermarking techniques are investigated. It is shown that the choice of
different coding parameters affects the performance of transform domain
watermarking techniques. Compression ratio is of course important but not the
only parameter that a watermarking scheme should take into account.

Computational SIMD framework: split-radix SIMD-FFT algorithm, derivation, implementation and performance2002 14th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing Proceedings. DSP 2002 (Cat. No.02TH8628) - Tập 2 - Trang 861-864 vol.2
P. Rodriguez V, M.S. Pattichis, R. Jordan
A general framework to develop efficient single instruction multiple data (SIMD)
compliant algorithms was previously proposed. In this paper a split-radix
SIMD-FFT algorithm is derived under this framework and compared against the
radix-2 SIMD-FFT algorithm, proven to have very efficient implementation.
Regardless of the intrinsic irregular pattern present in the split-radix
algorithm, it is shown... hiện toàn bộ
