Experimental investigation of complex ion formation in solution of transformer oil with iodine - Trang 21-24
A.I. Zhakin
The processes of ion-complex formation (ionic pairs, triplets, dipole-dipole and ion-dipole clusters) and associated conductivity in liquid dielectrics are considered. Experimental method and results on ionization process in solution of transformer ion with iodine are discussed.

Measurement equipment for investigation of the influence of viscosity of dielectric working fluids on spark erosion - Trang 301-304
H.-P. Schulze, G. Wollenberg, M. Lauter, M. Storr, W. Rehbein
In the paper functional goals of the measurement equipment for the investigation of electrical discharges in dielectric working fluids are discussed. Electrical discharges take place at electrode distances smaller than 200 /spl mu/m. As an example the influence of the viscosity on the ignition behaviour and on typical phases of the spark erosion are analyzed.

Electrical properties of fluorinated gel electrolytes using conducting solution and its application to secondary battery - Trang 365-368
J. Kyokane, T. Minami, K. Morishima, H. Sawada
The lithium ionic electrolytes of fluorinated gel materials have been found to show high ionic conductivity. We proposed the application to a lithium ion secondary battery using this gel electrolyte. Non-crosslinked fluorinated gel materials were prepared by reacting fluoroalkanoyl peroxides with 2-acrylamid-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS) oligomer, or 2-glucosyloxyyethyl methacrylate (GEMA) o...... hiện toàn bộ

Study of orientation of liquid crystal molecules at interface by shear horizontal wave - Trang 386-389
K. Yoshino, M. Inoue, H. Moritake, K. Toda
The director-orientation of a liquid crystal near an interface between a glass plate and a liquid-crystal layer is studied under propagation of a shear horizontal (SH) acoustic wave. An acoustic phase-delay of a SH wave device with various liquid-crystal director orientations, which is affected by the liquid-crystal director orientation, is measured. The fractional velocity change of the SH wave i...... hiện toàn bộ

Cathode sheath formation of corona discharge in liquid argon - Trang 131-134
N. Bonifaci, A. Denat, V.M. Atrazhev, V.V. Atrazhev, I.V. Kochetov, A.P. Napartovich
A one-dimensional longitudinal model including the cathode sheath, the drift region and the external circuit has been used for conditions close to experiments of a corona discharge in liquid Ar. The model provides the space and time variations of the electric field, electron and positive ion densities in the cathode region, as well as the time variations of the electric current through the dischar...... hiện toàn bộ

Factors contributing to streamer morphology - Trang 155-158
R.E. Hebner
Recent work shows that the range of morphology of anode streamers in liquid dielectric breakdown is predicted when it is represented as stochastic growth of a branching fractal tree. This model may be analogous to the critical volume model of breakdown used in gases. Assuming there is a relationship, leads to a concept of how affecting the electron production and recombination rates in a fluid can...... hiện toàn bộ

An investigation of discharges in oil insulation using UHF PD detection - Trang 341-344
G.P. Cleary, M.D. Judd
In this paper, partial discharge (PD) is generated using a range of electrode configurations in an oil insulated system. High voltage AC at 50 Hz is applied to each test configuration and the PD activity is recorded using an ultra high frequency (UHF) monitoring system. The PD signals are analysed in a phase resolved form, from which the corresponding statistical distributions are determined. The ...... hiện toàn bộ

Time dependence of dielectric properties of human body phantoms - Trang 33-36
K. Fukunaga, S. Watanabe, K. Wake, Y. Yamanaka
Standard methods for measurement of the specific absorption rate (SAR) including recipes of tissue-equivalent dielectric liquid have been discussed by international standard organisations in order to evaluate mobile telecommunication equipment. Standards, and draft documents of standards recommend glycol type liquids as issue-equivalent liquids for frequencies above 1 GHz. Although the amounts of ...... hiện toàn bộ

Effect of co-field flow velocity, temperature and dissolved gases on the direct breakdown voltage of transformer oil using point-to-plane electrodes - Trang 95-98
I.Y. Megahed, M.A. Abdallah, A.A. Zaky
This paper presents results on the effect of enforced co-field oil flow velocity and of temperature on the breakdown voltage of transformer oil using point-to-plane electrodes. Tests were carried out on degassed oil and oxygen-saturated oil for negative and positive point polarities over the temperature range 20/spl deg/C - 85/spl deg/C and flow velocities from 0.0 to 170 cm/s and for two gap leng...... hiện toàn bộ
