Chúng tôi đã tiến hành một cuộc khảo sát trên 'PubMed' và tìm kiếm trên web về các cơ quan chăm sóc sức khỏe chính/ tâm thần quốc gia/quốc tế, cũng như các tổ chức chuyên nghiệp liên quan. Mặc dù y học tổng quát có vai trò quan trọng trong việc giải quyết sức khỏe tâm thần của thanh thiếu niên, vẫn tồn tại nhiều thách thức trong việc thanh thiếu niên tìm kiếm sự giúp đỡ. Cụ thể, thanh thiếu niên thường không tương tác với các cơ quan chăm sóc sức khỏe và nhiều yếu tố đã được xác định là cản trở hoặc hỗ trợ trong vấn đề này. Việc phát hiện và điều trị các rối loạn tâm thần và lạm dụng chất gây nghiện bởi các bác sĩ gia đình có thể được cải thiện, và việc triển khai các can thiệp nhằm cải thiện việc sàng lọc và can thiệp sớm có khả năng mang lại giá trị quý báu. Y học tổng quát là một cơ quan trung tâm trong việc giải quyết sức khỏe tâm thần của thanh thiếu niên, và những can thiệp tổng hợp, đa diện (giáo dục, hướng dẫn lâm sàng, và nâng cao nhận thức) có khả năng hỗ trợ cho vai trò này. Nghiên cứu thêm về vấn đề này là một ưu tiên.
